Learn how to use the Divi Tabs Module to organize content into customizable, user-friendly tabbed sections on your site.

The Divi Tabs Module simplifies organizing information by displaying it in easily accessible tabs. Using the WordPress editor, you can include text, images, or any controlled content.

Tabs are stacked in smaller layouts (1/4 columns) and arranged in a horizontal row at larger sizes.

Add The Divi Tabs Module

When you load the Visual Builder, Divi automatically adds a Section.

  1. Click the Green Plus icon to insert a Row.

  2. Click the Gray Plus icon inside the Row, which will show the list of all available Divi modules.

  3. Find the Tabs module and click on it to load it. Alternatively, you can use the Search option to find it.

The Divi Tabs Module Use Cases

  1. Displaying Product Features: Use tabs to showcase different features or specifications of a product, making it easier for users to navigate and compare.

  2. Creating FAQs: Organize frequently asked questions by topic within tabs to present information in a clean, accessible way.

  3. Segmenting Services or Pricing: Tabs can be used to separate services or pricing plans by category, such as business, personal, or enterprise, improving clarity and usability.

Tabs Module Settings Breakdown

Once you've added the Tabs module, the module settings automatically pop up. This is where this module's content and design styles are configured. These settings are organized into three groups via the tabs at the top of the module:

The Content tab

The Content tab allows you to add new Tabs, delete existing ones, and organize them.

  1. Content - Add new tabs, delete existing ones, and organize them.

  2. Link - Make the entire Tabs module clickable, creating a seamless way to direct users to another page, section, or external site.

  3. Background - Choose the Tabs module's background styles.

  4. Admin Label - Choose the Tabs module's label text to assist you in keeping things organized and easy to understand in the Visual Builder.


The Design tab

All the design styles and options for the Tabs module are in this tab.

  1. Body Text - Choose the module's body text styles.

  2. Tab Text - Choose the module's active and inactive tabs' backgrounds and font styles.

  3. Sizing - Choose the Tabs module's sizing.

  4. Spacing - Choose the Tabs module's spacing.

  5. Border - Choose the Tabs module's border styles.

  6. Box Shadow - Choose the Tabs module's Box Shadow styles.

  7. Filters - Choose the Tabs module's filters such as hue shifts, saturation changes, and blending modes.

  8. Transform - Choose the Tabs module's advanced design effects, such as scaling, rotating, skewing, and translating.

  9. Animation - Choose the Tabs module's animation styles.


The Advanced tab

The Advanced tab provides tools for experienced designers, including options for adding CSS IDs and Classes, controlling visibility, managing transitions, adjusting element positions, and creating scroll effects.

  1. CSS ID & Classes - Allows you to assign unique CSS ID or reusable CSS classes, enabling advanced custom styling through your child theme’s stylesheet or Divi’s custom CSS settings.

  2. Custom CSS - Allows you to add custom CSS code to fine-tune your Tabs module, enabling advanced styling that perfectly aligns with your vision.

  3. Conditions - Allows you to create dynamic, personalized content, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.

  4. Visibility - Choose the Tabs's module visibility based on different devices.

  5. Transitions - Choose how long Tabs's module animation takes, adding subtle, impactful animations that enhance user experience and make your modules stand out.

  6. Position - Choose precise control of the Tabs's module placement and create dynamic, visually engaging designs.

  7. Scroll Effects - Control how the Tabs module behaves and transforms during scrolling.


Add, Edit, and Delete Tab Items

  1. Open the Tab Module: Click on the Tab module on your page or click the Gear icon to open its settings.

  2. Edit an Item: Click the Gear icon next to the Tab item you want to update(1). Modify the title, body content, or design settings as needed.

  3. Add a New Item: In the Content tab, click Add New Tab Item (2). Enter the title and body content, then customize design options like background color, or text style. Click the arrow icon at the top left to return to the main module settings.

  4. Delete Item: Click the Trash icon (3)next to the Tab item to delete it.

What's the next step?

Save your changes and exit the Visual Builder

To save the page design, you can type CMD + S on a Mac or CTRL + S on a PC.

You can also:

  1. Click on the Save button.

  2. Click on the Exit button.
