How to Fix Missing Comments on Single Posts

Comments are crucial to your website, fostering engagement and allowing visitors to interact with your content. However, encountering missing comments on single posts can hinder this interaction and detract from the user experience.

In this article, we will guide you through the process of fixing missing comments on your single posts in WordPress.

Comments are enabled on posts by default; however, they may be disabled in the Divi Theme Options or the Screen Options in your WordPress Dashboard. 

Ensure that Comments are enabled in Divi

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Divi → Theme Options → Layout → Single Post Layout

  2. Ensure that the Show Comments on Posts option is enabled

Ensure that the Comments are enabled in WordPress

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Posts

  2. Edit any of your posts

  3. From the Right Sidebar, under the Discussion panel, ensure that both:

    1. Allow Comments

    2. Allow Pingbacks & trackbacks

Ensure that Comments are not set to close automatically

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Discussion

  2. Under the Other comment settings section, ensure that the option Automatically close comments on posts older than 14 days is not checked
