The Email Optin module in Divi 5 connects directly to ConstantContact, letting you grow your contact list through opt-in forms placed anywhere on your site. Once connected, every form submission is sent straight to the ConstantContact list of your choice.
This guide covers how to link your ConstantContact account to the Email Optin module - including where to find your ConstantContact API key and how to configure the module settings inside the Divi Visual Builder.
Prerequisite
HTTPS protocol is installed on your domain.
ConstantContact API key and Secret key.
A ConstantContact list. This can be created in your ConstantContact account.
Generate the ConstantContact API Keys
Log in to your ConstantContact Developer account.
From the My Application page, click the New Application button.
Give the application a name and leave everything as is.
Click the Create button.
Once the application is created, click the Edit button.
Click the Pencil icon under the Redirect URI.
Enter your website URL followed by
?et-core-api-email-auth=1parameter. For example:https://d5.test?et-core-api-email-auth=1. In this case, the domain ishttps://d5.test.
⚠︎ Important: If you copy your website's address, make sure you remove the/from the URL before the?et-core-api-email-auth=1.
Click the Confirm button.
Copy the API Key (Client ID).
Click the Generate Client Secret button and copy it to your clipboard.
Connect the Email Optin Module to ConstantContact
Open the Email Opt-in module Settings modal window by clicking on the Email Optin module or by clicking on its Gear icon.
Go to the Content Tab → Email Account.
Select the ConstantContact from the provider's list and click the Add button.
Fill in the following fields:
Account Name - It can be anything you want. For example, you can use
my-constantcontactAPI Key - Paste the API Key (Client ID) (step 9).
Access Token - Paste the Client Secret Key (step 10).
Click the Submit button.
Choose the ConstantContact list you want to use.
