Authenticating your Elegant Themes account is essential for accessing updates, premium support, and all the features of Divi and other Elegant Themes products.
In this article, we will guide you through the process of authenticating your Elegant Themes account.
To access future Divi updates and Premade Layout Packs, you need to link your Elegant Themes membership with the Divi install on your WordPress website. To do so, you must add your Elegant Themes username and API Key to the Divi Theme Options.
Automatically create and activate an API Key
When the Divi theme is activated for the first time, you will be greeted by the new onboarding wizard, which streamlines the setup process, including generating a new API key and activating your license.
Click the Login To Activate Your Licence button to log in to your Elegant Themes account and automatically activate the installation
Login to your Elegant Themes account using the username and password
After a successful login, you will be redirected back to your WordPress Dashboard directly into Divi Dashboard
Note: In the Divi Overview section, you will see that your Divi Licence Key has been activated, as well as if the Divi theme is up to date
Managing your API keys
Log into your Elegant Themes account
From the top Menu, select Account β Username and API key
If you have not generated any API keys, click the Generate New API Key button. Above each API key is an input field where you can add a title (like what site you are using the API key on), which is especially handy if you're using Divi to design and build client websites.Go to your WordPress Dashboard β Divi β Theme Options β Updates
Enter your username and API key in the appropriate fields
Click on the Save Changes button
