How to disable placeholder content for Divi modules

Disable the automatic generation of content for all Divi modules.

Out of the box, when inserting a new module into a page layout, the module will be set with a predefined placeholder text.

To deactivate this behavior, follow these steps.

  1. Expand the Visual Builder settings bar by clicking on this icon.

  2. Open the Builder Settings by clicking on the three vertical dots icon.

  3. Deactivate the Add Placeholder Content To New Modules option.

  4. Once the preferred view mode is changed, save the page so the new selection will be saved.

Note: Next time a new module is going to be added to a layout, the placeholder text will not be used.
