Custom presets in Divi help streamline design, but there may come a time when you need to reset or remove them entirely. Deleting all custom presets can give you a fresh start and simplify your design process.
This article will walk you through the steps to delete all custom presets on a Divi website, ensuring a clean slate for your future design work.
β οΈ Important Note: Deleting presets and global variables is permanent and cannot be undone. Create a full site backup before proceeding.
Install and activate the Reset Divi Presets Plugin
Download and activate the Reset Divi Presets plugin.
Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins β Add New.
Click the Upload Plugin at the top.
Use the zip file downloaded at step 1
Activate the Reset Divi Presets plugin.
Delete Element Presets, Options Group Presets, and Global Variables in Divi 5
Once activated in your WordPress Admin bar, a new option called Reset Divi Presets is added.
Hover over it and choose the action you want to perform:
Reset Divi 5 Presets:
Reset Element Presets: Resets element presets, such as Section presets, Row presets, and Module Presets.
Reset Option Group Presets: Reset only option group presets. Element Presets will not be reset.
Reset All Presets: Reset both Element and Option Group Presets.
Reset Divi 5 Global Variables:
Reset Global Colors: Resets only the global color variables.
Reset Global Fonts: Resets only the global fonts variables.
Reset Global Images: Resets only global image variables.
Reset Global Links: Resets only the global links variables.
Reset Global Numbers: Resets only the global links variables.
Reset Global Text: Resets only the global links variables.
Reset All Global Variables: Resets all global variables.
Delete Element Presets in Divi 4
Unlike Divi 5, Divi 4 only allows you to create element Presets for any type of elements (Section, Row, Module).
Once activated in your WordPress Admin bar, a new option called Reset Divi Presets is added.
Hover over it and click the Reset Divi 4 Presets option.
