How to Equalize Column Heights

How to adjust all the Columns in a Row to have the same height - regardless of the content inside each column.

Updated over 4 months ago

Sometimes, we need each Column to be the same height, regardless of the content of each Column.

Let's have a look at this example:

Divi Columns are not equalized

In this layout, we have three text modules. Each text module has a different background color, and the content in each text module is different.

This creates an uneven height for each text module. The purpose of this guide is to have each Column have the same height.

Adjust the Layout and enable the Equalize Columns Height option

  1. Edit each module and remove the background color

  2. Edit the Row's settings

  3. Edit each Column, and set the previous background colors that were set on each module

    Divi - Edit Column settings
  4. Go back to the Row's settings

  5. Click on the Design Tab

  6. Expand the Sizing option group

  7. Enable the Equalize Column Heights option

Divi Row - Enable Equalize Columns Heights

The result will be:

Divi Equalized Columns Heights

Pro Tips:

  • The height of the Column refers to the Column itself and not to the content inside a column.

  • Suppose the Modules inside each Column contain other properties, like Box Shadow, Border Radius, etc. In that case, those properties need to be reset on the Module's level and applied to the Column itself.
