The Divi 5 attribute management system is a powerful feature designed to streamline your design workflow by allowing you to manage element attributes efficiently. This guide will walk you through the core functionalities of copying, pasting, and resetting attributes.
Use Cases:
Apply Consistent Styling: If you've styled one element (like a button or image) as desired, use "Copy All Design Attributes" and then "Paste All Design Attributes" on similar elements. This ensures visual consistency across your layout without manually setting each design option for every element.
Duplicate Layout Structure Without Content Duplication: If you have a complex section or module with specific design settings that you want to reuse, you can copy its attributes. Then, use selective pasting to apply only the design attributes to a new element, which you can populate with new content. Alternatively, you can copy only the content attributes to transfer text or images to an existing styled module.
Quickly Reset Specific Changes: If you've made multiple styling adjustments but want to revert only certain changes, like spacing or typography, you can avoid manually resetting each setting. The "Selective Resetting" feature lets you choose which attributes to reset, saving you time and effort in fine-tuning your design.
How to use Attribute Management
You can copy, paste, and reset not just styles, but also presets and content across modules, rows, and sections with field-level control.
Copying Attributes
Right-click on any module, row, or section and choose Copy Attributes.
This action copies all modified attributes to your clipboard, including:
Content (text, images, etc.)
Presets
Modified styles
You can also copy attributes from specific option groups, tabs, or fields directly within the settings panel.
Pasting Attributes
Right-click the target element and hover over Paste Attributes. Divi will match compatible attributes and skip any that don’t apply.
You’ll see these paste options:
Paste All Attributes – pastes content, presets, and styles
Paste Design Attributes – pastes presets and styles only
Paste Style Attributes – pastes only modified styles
Paste Content Attributes – pastes only content
Paste Presets – pastes only presets
This makes it easy to apply everything or just the pieces you need. For example, you can clone a module with Paste All Attributes or just copy a preset design without changing the content using Paste Design Attributes.
Pasting to Specific Option Groups
You can paste attributes into specific option groups using the right-click menu directly on the group.
This allows you to apply design or content changes to just one part of a module.
For example, copy a button preset from a Call to Action module, then paste that preset directly into the button group of a Contact Form without opening the full settings.
Resetting Attributes
Right-click any element or option group and choose a reset option.
Divi 5 gives you full control:
Reset All Attributes – clears content, presets, and styles
Reset Design Attributes – resets only styles and presets
Reset Style Attributes – resets only styles
Reset Content Attributes – resets only the content
Reset Presets – resets only the presets
You can also reset at the group, tab, or field level—ideal for undoing changes in a specific area without affecting the whole module.
Group, Tab, and Field-Level Control
Divi 5 lets you manage attributes at any depth. Right-click on individual fields, tabs, or groups in the settings panel to copy, paste, or reset exactly what you need.
