Achieving a seamless and cohesive design on your website often involves fine-tuning the spacing between elements. In Divi, section dividers add visual interest but can sometimes leave unwanted space between sections.
In this article, we will guide you through the process of removing the space between section dividers in Divi, ensuring a smooth transition from one section to the next.
The Section Divider allows you to display custom shapes between two different sections. In some cases, there could be an unwanted space between two different sections dividers.
Check for custom spacing (Margin, Padding, or Transform)
Open each section's settings by clicking on the Gear icon
Go to the Design Tab → Spacing
Ensure that custom values are not used for Margin Top and Bottom or Padding Top and Bottom
Check each Section for Custom CSS code
Open each section's settings by clicking on the Gear icon
Go to Advanced Tab → Custom CSS → Free Form CSS or Advanced Tab → Custom CSS → Module Elements
Check for any CSS code that might set a custom value for Margin Top and Bottom or Padding Top and Bottom
Check the Divi Custom CSS area
Go to Divi → Theme Options → General Tab → Custom CSS
Ensure no custom CSS code is applied to the sections that might create unwanted space.
Check the Page settings for Custom CSS usage
Click on the Ellipses icon to expand the Visual Builder's toolbar
Click on the Gear icon to open the page settings
Go to Advanced Tab → Custom CSS
Fix the unwanted space between two different section dividers
Open the second section's settings by clicking on the Gear icon
Go to the Design Tab → Spacing → Margin
For the Margin Top set, the -1px value
