How to Add Mailchimp Groups to the Divi Optin Module

Groups let you categorize subscribers. Divi Optin Module subscribers can select MailChimp groups for themselves

Groups let you categorize subscribers by interests and preferences. Your Divi Optin Module subscribers can select Mailchimp groups for themselves, or you can put them into groups without their knowledge.

Groups are an easy way to add segmentation and personalization to your email subscriber list.

They allow you to send emails to specific audiences with particular interests, ultimately leading to a much higher conversion rate.

Create the Grups in MailChimp

  1. Log in to your Mailchimp account

  2. From the left sidebar, choose Audience β†’ All Contacts

  3. Expand the Manage Audience option and choose Groups

  4. Click on the Create Groups button

  5. Choose the As radio buttons (people can select only one) option

  6. Give it a title

  7. Create the group's options

  8. Click on the Save button.

In the above example, the group's name is Interests, and it has 3 options:

  • Divi Theme

  • Extra Theme

  • Divi Builder plugin

Those options will shown on the Email Opt-in module, and when selected, the subscriber will be automatically assigned to that specific group option. This will allow you to manage your subscribers better better.

Add the Groups to the Divi Email Opt-in module

  1. Add or edit the existing Email Opt-in module

  2. In the Content tab, expand the Fields option group

  3. Enable the Use Custom Fields option

  4. Click on the Plus icon to add a new custom field

  5. Expand the Field dropdown and choose the name of the MailChimp Group created previously

  6. Save your settings

This will be the final result on the Front End:

Now, a subscriber can choose a Group to subscribe to depending on his preferences.
