Creating a unique and personalized look for your website often starts with custom headers and footers.

This article will walk you through designing and implementing custom header and footer layouts in Divi.

Whether you want to add unique branding elements, improve navigation, or enhance your site's overall aesthetic, our step-by-step guide will show you how to leverage Divi's powerful tools and features to achieve your vision.

Create Custom Header and Footer Layouts using the Theme Builder

Theme Builder is a powerful feature that can be used to create custom templates for the Header, Footer, and Body areas of the entire website or for specific pages only.

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Divi → Theme Builder

  2. Click on Add Global Header to create a Global Header layout that will appear on all pages across your website.

  3. Choose to Add Global Header

  4. Start building and designing your custom Header layout

Note: The same process can be used to create a Global Footer layout.

Pro Tip: You can create templates and assign them to different pages.

If a Global Header or Footer is created, the new templates will automatically use those Global layouts, however, by creating individual Header and Footer Layouts on each template, you have the freedom to truly create unique layouts on a page level.

For more information, you can check out the Theme Builder documentation page.
