Learn how Divi Dash helps manage your site's plugins, themes, and users by providing detailed insights for individual WordPress sites.

After at least one WordPress site is added to your Divi Dash, you will be able to perform various actions on it, such as:

  • Change the Primary WordPress Admin user

  • Assing a WordPress site to one of your clients

  • Access the WordPress site's dashboard straight from Divi Dash

  • Update all plugins the WordPress site uses

  • Activate and delete WordPress themes that are being installed on a specific WordPress site, including Divi Child themes

  • Activate and delete WordPress plugins that are being installed on a specific WordPress site

  • Enable or Disable the Auto Updates for all WordPress themes and plugins

  • Check the System Report

  • Run various optimization services such as:

    • Clear the Spam comments

    • Clear the Post/Page Revisions

    • Clear the Posts/Pages that were deleted

  • Manage WordPress users

Access the Website Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Elegant Themes account

  2. Click on the Dash tab

Website Dashboard Overview

Each WordPress site will display its related information split into 7 cards. Each of those cards is designed to provide a quick and easy way to manage your WordPress site:

    1. Site name

    2. Site URL

    3. Tags

    4. Access to the Site's WordPress Dashboard

    5. Access to the Site's settings

  1. Updates card - Provides an overview of all the available updates of the WordPress site.

  2. Themes & Plugins card- It allows you to quickly enable or disable any WordPress theme or plugin that have been installed

  3. Status Report card - Provides useful details regarding the different server's settings such as WordPress version, PHP version, and more

  4. Optimization card - It allows you to run optimization services, such as quickly clearing post and page revisions, clearing spam comments, and more

  5. Site Users card - It allows you to manage the WordPress site's users easily

  6. Website Notes card - Used to add quick notes about the WordPress site

Website Details card

The Website Details card provides a glance of your WordPress site:

  • Site's name (which is defined in WordPress Dashboard → Settings → General → Site Name)

  • - Clicking on the Start icon will add the site to your favorite list

  • URL - The website's URL address

  • Tags - If the site was tagged with at least one tag, they will appear here

  • WordPress Dashboard button - Clicking on it will load the site's WordPress Dashboard

  • Site Settings button - Open the Site Settings modal window to change the Primary WordPress Admin username, assign the website to a specific client, and add Tags. You can also remove the site from your Divi Dash by clicking on the Delete Website button

  • Sync Site Data button - clicking on this button will initiate the syncing process between Divi Dash and your WordPress site

Updates card

The Updates card provides information about all the website's available updates, which include:

  • Plugin updates

  • Theme updates

  • WordPress Core updates

The Updates information is split into 4 different tabs:

  • The Site Updates tab (active by default) displays all the available updates

  • The Plugins tab displayed only plugin updates

  • The Themes tab displays only theme updates

  • The WordPress tab displays only WordPress core updates

Perform updates

On the Site Updates tab, check the Select All checkbox and click the Update Selected button.

If you don't want to update everything at once, you can check the checkbox of each item in the list that you want to update and click on the Update Selected button.

If you want to update only the plugins, themes, or WordPress core, use the related tab (Plugin, Theme, WordPress tab). Similar to the Sites Updates tab, you have the option to update everything at once or select the items that you want to update.

Themes & Plugins card

The Themes & Plugins card is split into 3 tabs:

  • The Themes tab displays a list of all themes and child themes that are being installed and their status: Active or Inactive, as well as their current version number.

    For each theme in the list, you can perform various actions such as Delete and Activate. Keep in mind that WordPress allows only one theme or child theme to be active.

    To activate a different theme or child theme, hover over it and click on the Activate button

    Note: Clicking on the Trash icon will permanently delete the theme or child theme from your WordPress installation.

  • The Plugins tab displays a list of all installed plugins, their status: Active or Inactive and their version number. For each plugin in the list, you can perform various actions, such as Delete, Deactivate, or Activate.

  • The Auto Updates tab displays a toggle button that allows you to enable automatic updates for all themes and plugins.


    Enable the toggles to allow you to choose at what interval and at what time you would like to schedule the Auto Updates.

    Click on the Gear icon to schedule when the Auto Update should run and to choose which theme and plugin it should run for. You can select/deselect any of the available themes and/or plugins.

Status Report card

The Status Report card offers an overview of your server environment as well as details about which Divi Performance options are enabled. This is a great way to check if the hosting server meets Divi requirements.

Optimization card

The Optimization card offers some quick actions to clean up your database of spam comments, posts, and page revisions and clear the trash.

In addition, it gives you insights into the number of spam comments, posts, and page revisions and the number of posts or pages that exist in the trash.

Clearing them ensures that your database remains as clean as possible.

Important Note: Clearing the Post or Page revisions will lose any revisions that WordPress creates. Usually, revisions are quite useful when issues appear, and they can be used to restore a post or page content to a previous state.

Site Users card

The Users card allows you to easily manage the WordPress site's users directly from Divi Dash.

Clicking on the top right Add User button will display a modal window that you can use to add a new WordPress account.

Besides adding new WordPress users, you can also edit existing ones.

To edit an existing user, hover over any of the existing users and click on the Gear icon

. This will open the Edit User modal window where you can make changes to a particular user.

Note: You can also delete users by hovering over the user you want to delete and clicking on the Trash icon.

You will not be able to delete the Site's Admin username, which has been defined as the Primary WordPress Admin User in the Site Settings

The Website Notes card can be used to add notes regarding the WordPress site.

Examples:

  • Notes regarding Design feedback

  • Notes regarding Content updates

  • Notes about SEO improvements
