Managing multiple websites efficiently can be daunting. With Divi Dash, WordPress site owners, developers, and designers can quickly manage the most important aspects of a WordPress site, such as managing installed plugins, themes, users, and much more.
Divi Dash is a comprehensive dashboard designed to simplify and enhance the management of any WordPress site. It offers a quick and easy way to manage any WordPress site.
This article will guide you through the steps of adding the first WordPress site to your Divi Dash.
Add a WordPress site using WordPress username and password
Log in to your Elegant Themes account
Click on the Dash tab
Click on the Add Website button (top right corner)
Enter the WordPress site details:
URL
WordPress Username
WordPress Password
(optional) Choose if you also want to install the Divi Theme, Bloom, and Monarch plugins. If your WordPress site already has Divi installed, Bloom, or Monarch plugin, you can skip this step
Click on the Add Website button
Important note: If you are using any 2 Factor Authentification (2FA) plugins or a Bot prevention system, adding a WordPress site to Divi Dash might not work. In this case, please use the alternative method of using a Connection Key.
Add a WordPress site using a Connection Key
Log in to your Elegant Themes account
Click on the Dash tab
Click on the Add Website button (top right corner)
Click on the Use Connection Key option
Click on the Divi Dash Plugin download link
Save the zip file to your local computer
Log in to the WordPress site you want to add
Go to your WordPress Dashboard Plugins β Add New Plugin
Click on the Add New Plugin button (located at the top)
Click the Upload Plugin button and choose the zip file downloaded at step 6
Click on the Install plugin button
Click on the Activate button
From the Plugins Page, click on the Divi Dash Connection button
Click on the Connection Key field to copy the key to your clipboard
Go back to your Elegant Themes account
Click on the Dash tab
Click on the Add Website button
Click on the Use Connection Key option
Add the Website URL
Add the Connection Key - which was copied at step 11
(optional) Choose if you want also to install the Divi Theme, Bloom, and Monarch plugins
Click on the Add Website button
(optional) Choose to install Divi theme, Bloom, and/or Monarch by checking their respective checkboxes.
Important Note: Divi Dash requires a secure connection, so you will need SSL enabled on the website. When you attempt to add a website with the HTTP protocol, the Divi Dash will change to HTTPS and try to connect. Often, the process will fail if your website does not use a secure connection.
The WordPress site will be added to your Divi Dash, and while the process is finishing up, you can keep adding another website by clicking on the Add Another Website button or check the Dashboard page of the one you just added by clicking on the View Website Dashboard button.
