The Divi Lottie Module Use Cases
Eye-Catching Animations: Utilize the Lottie module to seamlessly integrate lightweight, scalable animations at the top of your pages. These can loop subtly or play on scroll, and because Lottie files are JSON/SVG-based, they’re smooth and performance‑friendly.
Animated Icons: Let icons animate on load or hover to draw attention and make your features more memorable. The control over looping and trigger behavior ensures they engage without distracting.
Micro-Interactions for CTAs: Add a subtle animation that plays as users scroll to a promo section—drawing eyes to sign‑up forms or essential links. The JSON-based format keeps these animations lightweight and adaptive.
Lottie Module Settings Breakdown
Once you've added the Lottie module, its settings will automatically appear. This is where this module's content and design styles are configured. These settings are organized into three groups via the tabs at the top of the module:
The Content tab
Inside the Content tab, you can add or remove SVG/JSON files, control how the animation loops, and much more.
Lottie Animation: Allows you to upload a JSON/SVG file, select the animation trigger, choose whether the animation should loop, set the animation speed, direction, and Play mode. The Play Mode has two values:
Normal: The animation plays only once.
Bounce: The animation, once it is completed, plays in reverse.
Important note: By default, WordPress blocks the upload of SVG and/or JSON files for security reasons. For more information, please refer to the How to Enable JSON Uploads in WordPress article.
Link: Make the entire Lottie module clickable, creating a seamless way to direct users to another page, section, or external site.
