Enhancing your website's typography with custom fonts can significantly improve its visual appeal and branding. Divi's Font Upload feature makes adding and using custom fonts easy, allowing you to create a unique and professional look for your site.
In this article, we will guide you through the process of uploading custom fonts using the Divi Font Upload feature.
Open the settings of any text-based module
Go to the Design Tab → Text → Text Font and expand the list
Click on the Upload button
Give your custom fonts a name
Click on the Choose Font File button
Choose your .ttf or .otf font file
(optional) Choose the Support Font Weights for the custom font file you are uploading
Once the custom Font is uploaded, it will be available to be set globally in the Divi → Theme Customizer → General Settings → Typography.
In addition, you can also change the Global Font from any text-based module by using the Edit Global Fonts option.
Open the settings of any text-based module
Go to the Design Tab → Text → Text Font and expand the list
Click on the Edit Global Fonts button
Expand the Heading Font list and choose your custom font or any of the available Google Fonts.
Click on the Save Button.
Notes:
The supported file formats are .ttf and .otf. Sometimes, you may see the following error message: Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this file type. This is due to WordPress, which forbids certain file types from being uploaded for security reasons. You can find a full list of permitted files here.
For more information, see the How to Fix the "Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this file type" Error article.
