Divi AI Quick Tools is a set of tools built directly into Divi. Because it is part of Divi rather than a separate app, it knows which module and which field you are working in, and it reads your site title, tagline, and page content to keep what it produces on brand. This article is an overview of each tool: what it does, where you open it, and the main choices it gives you.
Where You'll Find the Divi AI Quick Tools
Divi AI appears in four places, depending on how much you want it to build:
Inside a field. Every text field, image field, and code field in the Divi Builder has an AI icon. Hover over the field and the icon appears in its top right corner.
When you add a section. The Insert Section icon offers a Generate Section With AI button.
When you create a page. The page creation flow offers a Generate Layout option.
In your WordPress Dashboard. Divi → Dashboard offers a Generate A New Site button.
The AI Text Generation Quick Tool
Text generation writes copy for any content field in the builder: headlines, paragraphs, button labels, even entire blog posts. Click the AI icon in a field and choose Write with AI.
Three options shape the result:
Content Type tells Divi AI what kind of copy you need. The list includes paragraphs, titles, buttons, blog posts, and social media posts.
What are you Writing About? is your prompt. If you are not sure what to type, click the AI icon inside the field for a suggested prompt.
Added Context controls how much of your site Divi AI reads before writing. You can give it This Page Content, This Section Content, This Module Content, or No Context so it works from your prompt alone.
Open the Guide Me toggle for finer control over Tone of Voice, Must Use Keywords, Content Length, and Language. Divi AI writes in over 26 languages.
Once text is generated, the Refine Result field lets you adjust it with a follow-up prompt, and Improve With AI offers one-click changes such as Make it Better, Rephrase, Lengthen, Shorten, Paraphrase, Fix Spelling & Grammar, Translate and Change Tone.
Note: Modules with several text fields have an Auto Generate Text With AI button at the top of their content options. One click fills every text field in the module. On a Blurb, for example, it writes both the title and the body.
Pro tip: Select part of the text with your mouse before clicking the AI icon, and Divi AI will rewrite only that portion and leave the rest alone.
The AI Image Generation Quick Tool
Image generation creates original images without leaving the builder, and uploads them straight to your WordPress media library.
Divi AI Image Generation Quick Tool produces one image at a time. You can use the first generated image and generate a new image based on that.
There are two ways to run it from any image field:
Generate with AI asks you what you want. You set an Image Style, write an Image Description, optionally upload a Reference Image, and choose an Aspect Ratio and Size.
Generate Automatically skips the questions and builds an image from the content already on the page. It works best on a page that has other images and text for Divi AI to read.
The style list covers photo, digital painting, concept art, vector graphics, 3D render, drawing, abstract art, comic book, watercolor, painting, anime, and cartoon. Aspect ratios include square (1:1), landscape (8:5), and portrait (3:4), plus a custom size. Square is the default.
A reference image is useful when you like the feel of an existing picture. Upload it, then use the Reference Image Influence dial to set how much it should sway the result against your description.
For an image that is already on the page, the AI icon offers Quick Actions instead:
Generate and Replace creates a new image without using the current one as a reference.
Reimagine generates four new images using the current one as the reference.
Change Style keeps the subject and restyles it.
Upscale enlarges the image 2, 3, or 4 times, or to a custom size.
Pro tip: The more specific your description, the better the image. "A fluffy white Persian cat with blue eyes sitting on a red velvet cushion in a Victorian-style room" gives you far more than "a cat". Name the subject, the setting, the mood, the colors, and the style.
The AI Image Editor Quick Tool
Where image generation makes a new picture, the AI Image Editor changes one you already have. It works on any image in the builder, including background images on sections, rows, and columns. Click the AI icon and choose Edit Image with AI, then pick one of four tabs.
Modify changes part of an image while leaving the rest intact. Paint over the area you want changed with the brush, or sketch the object you want added, then describe the change in the Image Fill Description field and set the Modification Strength. This is how you remove a distracting object behind a heading, or add something that was never in the photo.
Expand and Fill widens the canvas and changes the aspect ratio. Divi AI fills the new blank space so a square photo becomes a usable landscape background instead of a stretched, cropped one.
Upscale sends the image back through Divi AI at a larger Image Scale for a higher resolution version.
Enhance removes unwanted artifacts and can raise saturation, contrast, and level of detail. The Enhancement Strength slider decides how much freedom Divi AI has: keep it low for a touch-up, raise it to let Divi AI reinterpret the image.
Pro tip: A good working order is to modify a low-resolution image first, because it iterates faster, then enhance it once you are happy, then upscale it last.
The AI Code Generation Quick Tool
Divi Code AI writes and edits CSS, HTML, and JavaScript inside the builder. It has been fine-tuned on the Divi module codebase, so it knows Divi's module classes and HTML output. That means it understands Divi terminology in your prompt and can act on a vague request better than a general-purpose model.
You will find the AI icon in every code field:
Any element's Advanced Tab → Custom CSS → Free Form CSS
Any element's Advanced Tab → Custom CSS → Module Elements
The Code module's Content Tab → Text → Code
Page Settings → Advanced Tab → Custom CSS
Describe what you want in plain language and click Generate Code. A prompt like "turn the image wrapper into a circle with a box shadow, add a semi-transparent pink and blue gradient overlay, and zoom the image in smoothly on hover" produces working CSS you can drop straight in.
Quick Actions handle the tidying up: Divi AI can optimize your code automatically, format it, convert color values, and improve browser compatibility.
Note: The syntax checker sometimes flags AI-generated CSS with yellow warnings, usually on vendor prefixes. Those warnings can be safely ignored.
The AI Section Generation Quick Tool
The Section Generation Quick Tool builds one section at a time, which makes it the most precise of the layout tools. Click the Insert Section icon, then Generate Section With AI.
You describe the section you want in Describe The Section You Want Divi AI To Create, and you can optionally add background about your business in Tell Divi AI About Your Website. Then choose how the images should be handled:
Use Stock Images (Faster) pulls real photos from Unsplash.
Generate Images With AI (slower) uses Divi AI image generation for something more specific.
Use Placeholder Images leaves a placeholder in every image slot, which suits you if you already have your own photography.
Divi AI picks the modules, writes the content, and fills in the images. Once it has settled on colors and fonts you like, you can tell it to remember those choices so every section it generates matches afterward.
Pro tip: Section generation is the natural partner to the two bigger tools. Build a page with layout generation, then use section generation to add the piece it missed, such as a services block on an About page.
The AI Layout Generation Quick Tool
Divi Layouts AI Quick Tool builds a complete page from a text prompt: structure, modules, copy, and images together. Create a new page, click Use Divi Builder, and choose Generate Layout in the page creation flow.
The Build Your Page With AI modal asks for three things:
The type of page you want, described as specifically as you can manage.
A short description of what your website is for. Your mission statement or value proposition works well here.
The fonts and colors to use, under Customize Fonts & Color, so each page you generate matches your branding.
Generation takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on how complex the page is. Everything it produces is ordinary Divi content, so you can edit any module afterward, regenerate an image, or rewrite a paragraph with the text tools.
Note: Set your site title and tagline under WordPress Dashboard → Settings → General before you start. Divi AI reads both, and the results are noticeably better when they are filled in.
The AI Full Site Generation Quick Tool
Full site generation is Divi AI at its largest scale. Divi Quick Sites sets up an entire website: pages, menu items, Theme Builder templates, colors, and presets.
Go to WordPress Dashboard → Divi → Dashboard, click Generate A New Site, then Generate My Website. The Tell Us About Your Website form collects:
Site Name and Site Slogan
Tell Divi AI About Your Website, the main prompt where you describe the business in as much detail as you can
E-commerce, which adds a store along with cart and checkout pages
Logo: your own logo file
Images, where you choose between Use Stock Images (Faster), Generate Images With AI (Slower), and Use Placeholder Images
Customize Fonts & Colors works the same way as it does for a single layout, and leaving every option on Let AI Choose hands the decision to Divi AI. Click Generate & Publish My Website to start. Generating images with AI makes the process slower but the imagery more relevant.
Divi AI Quick Tools sets the site's colors up as Global Colors and styles the layout with presets, so the fastest way to restyle the finished site is to edit a global color or a preset rather than individual modules.
Note: Generating a site does not overwrite your existing work. Pages you had published keep working, and pages with matching names are told apart by their slug. Theme Builder templates you created before stay in the Theme Builder, but they are deactivated in favor of the new ones.
How the free trial is counted
The Divi AI free trial is linked to your Elegant Themes username and gives you 100 uses. They are spent at different rates depending on the tool:
