Where to Find the Content Options

  1. Open the settings for the module you want to customize.

  2. Select the Content tab.

  3. Click Content to view the available options.

Content Options Overview

  1. Post Type: Select the type of content to display, such as blog posts, pages, media, projects, or products.

  2. Post Count: Enter the number of posts to display in the module.

  3. Included Categories: Choose specific categories to display. By default, all categories are included, but you can narrow this selection as needed.

  4. Date Format: Customize how dates are displayed using format codes, such as:

    • d: Two-digit day (01–31)

    • M: Three-letter month abbreviation (Jan–Dec)

    • Y: Four-digit year (1999)

    • Example: Use F j, Y to display dates like "January 5, 2023."

  5. Content Length: Choose how much content to display:

    • Show Excerpt: Displays a summary of the post.

    • Show Content: Displays the full post content.

  6. Use Post Excerpts: Enable or disable the use of manually defined excerpts. Disable this option to generate excerpts automatically.

  7. Excerpt Length: Set the character limit for excerpts. The default is 270, but you can adjust this to shorten or lengthen summaries.

  8. Post Offset Number: Skip a specified number of posts before starting the feed. For example, enter 3 to begin with the fourth most recent post.

Tips for Using Content Options

  • Refine Your Feed: Use Post Count and Included Categories to focus your feed feed on the most relevant content.

  • Keep It Concise: Choose Show Excerpt for a scannable layout and adjust Excerpt Length to suit your design.

  • Highlight Recent Posts: Use Post Offset Number to create unique layouts, such as a featured post section separate from the main feed.

  • Customize Date Displays: Use a clear, readable Date Format that matches your site’s style.
