Learn how to use the Divi Slider Module to create engaging slideshows with customizable content, effects, and styles.

The Divi Slider Module can be added anywhere on your site. It offers flexible slider layouts, such as large, small, fixed-width, or full-width. For engaging designs, it supports parallax background images and full-width video backgrounds.

Add The Divi Slider Module

When you load the Visual Builder, Divi automatically adds a Section.

  1. Click the Green Plus icon to insert a Row.

  2. Click the Gray Plus icon inside the Row to open the Divi Module Library. The library contains all the modules included with the Divi theme.

  3. Find the Slider module and click on it to load the module.
    The module library is also searchable. To access it, type the module name you want in the search bar at the top.

The Divi Slider Module Use Cases

  1. Highlighting Key Content: Use the Slider to showcase featured products, services, or announcements on your homepage, grabbing visitors' attention with rotating visuals.

  2. Telling a Story: Create a step-by-step visual narrative, such as explaining a process or showcasing a timeline, using slides to guide users through the content.

  3. Showcasing Testimonials: Present customer testimonials or success stories in an engaging, rotating format, adding social proof to your site.

Slider Module Settings Breakdown

Once you've added the Slider module, the module settings automatically pop up. This is where this module's content and design styles are configured. These settings are organized into three groups via the tabs at the top of the module:

The Content tab

The Content tab allows you to manage the number of slides as well as the content of each slide, choose to show or hide the navigation arrows and bullets navigation, and more.

  1. Content - Add new Slides or remove existing ones.

  2. Elements - Choose to display or hide the navigation arrows and/or the bullet navigation.

  3. Link - Make the entire Slider module clickable, creating a seamless way to direct users to another page, section, or external site.

  4. Background - Choose the Slider module's background styles.

  5. Admin Label - Choose the Slider module's label text to assist you in keeping things organized and easy to understand in the Visual Builder.


The Design tab

All the design styles and options for the Slider module are in this tab.

  1. Overlay - Choose the module's background and text overlays.

  2. Navigation - Choose the color for the navigation arrows and dot navigation.

  3. Image - Choose the slide's image styles. This option only applies if the Slide has the Slide Image set.

  4. Text - Choose the overall Slider module's text styles for this module.

  5. Title Text - Choose the Slider module's title styles.

  6. Body Text - Choose the module's body text styles.

  7. Button - Choose the Slider module's button styles.

  8. Sizing - Choose the Slider module's sizing.

  9. Spacing - Choose the Slider module's spacing.

  10. Border - Choose the Slider module's border styles.

  11. Box Shadow - Choose the Slider module's Box Shadow styles.

  12. Filters - Choose the Slider module's filters such as hue shifts, saturation changes, and blending modes.

  13. Transform - Choose the Slider module's advanced design effects, such as scaling, rotating, skewing, and translating.

  14. Animation - Choose the Slider module's animation styles.


The Advanced tab

The Advanced tab provides tools for experienced designers, including options for adding CSS IDs and Classes, controlling visibility, managing transitions, adjusting element positions, and creating scroll effects.

  1. CSS ID & Classes - Allows you to assign unique CSS ID or reusable CSS classes, enabling advanced custom styling through your child theme’s stylesheet or Divi’s custom CSS settings.

  2. Custom CSS - Allows you to add custom CSS code to fine-tune your Slider module, enabling advanced styling that perfectly aligns with your vision.

  3. Attributes - Choose the button's relationships.

  4. Conditions - Allows you to create dynamic, personalized content, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.

  5. Visibility - Choose the Slider's module visibility based on different devices.

  6. Transitions - Choose how long Slider's module animation takes, adding subtle, impactful animations that enhance user experience and make your modules stand out.

  7. Position - Choose precise control of the Slider's module placement and create dynamic, visually engaging designs.

  8. Scroll Effects - Control how the Slider module behaves and transforms during scrolling.


Add, Edit, and Delete Slide Items

  1. Open the Slide Module: Click on the Slide module on your page or click the Gear icon to open its settings.

  2. Edit an Item: Click the Gear icon next to the Slide item you want to update(1). Modify the title, body content, or design settings as needed.

  3. Add a New Item: In the Content tab, click Add New Slide (2). Enter the title and body content, then customize design options like background color or text style. Click the arrow icon at the top left to return to the main module settings.

  4. Delete Item: Click the Trash icon (3)next to the Slide item to delete it.

Save your changes and exit the Visual Builder

To save the page design, you can type CMD + S on a Mac or CTRL + S on a PC.

You can also:

  1. Click on the Save button.

  2. Click on the Exit button.
