The Divi Accordion Module

Learn how to use Divi's Accordion Module to organize content in collapsible sections for a cleaner, more user-friendly design.

Updated yesterday

The Divi Accordion module organizes content into a stack of collapsible toggles, revealing or hiding information as toggles are clicked. Unlike the Toggle module, only one toggle stays open at a time, streamlining readability. This makes it perfect for FAQs or other structured content.

The Divi Accordion Module use cases:

  1. FAQ Section: The Accordion module is perfect for displaying frequently asked questions. Each question can be a header, and the answer can expand beneath when clicked, keeping the section clean and easy to navigate.

  2. Product or Service Details: For product pages with multiple features or services with several tiers, the Accordion module lets users click through details without overwhelming them with all the information at once. This way, you can keep descriptions concise but still provide deeper information for those interested.

  3. Step-by-Step Instructions: For tutorials or process explanations, each step can be in a separate accordion item. This structure is ideal for guides where users need to progress through stages but don't want to see every detail upfront.

Styling Individual Accordion Items

When you edit the design styles of the Accordion module, it applies to all the Accordion items.

However, you can style an accordion item individually. In that case, you can click the Gear icon next to that item, bringing up the individual Content and Design settings.

They are the same settings as demonstrated above but will only apply to that specific accordion item you edit.

To return to the main module settings, click the Arrow icon at the top left corner of the module window.
