The Spacing design options let you adjust the margins and padding of any Divi element, giving you control over the space inside and around it. These settings help you fine-tune the layout and positioning for a clean and balanced design.
Where to Find the Spacing Options
Open the Module Settings: Click the gear icon or the module itself to access the settings.
Navigate to the Design Tab: Locate the Spacing option group.
Spacing Customization Settings
Margin: Add space outside the module to separate it from other elements on the page. You can set custom values for the top, right, bottom, and left margins.
Padding: Add space inside the module between its content and its boundaries. Like the margin, you can adjust padding individually for the top, right, bottom, and left sides.
Chainlink Icon: Click the chainlink icon to lock the top and bottom or left and right values together. This ensures equal spacing for a consistent look.
Default Values:
Margin: The default value is 0, meaning no additional space is added outside the module.
Padding: The default value is 0, leaving no extra space inside the module boundaries.
Note: Spacing values can be set using units such as px, %, em, rem, vw, vh, and more.
Tips for Using Spacing Options
Create Balance: Use padding to add breathing room inside the module, making content more visually appealing.
Avoid Overcrowding: Add margins to separate the module from nearby elements and prevent clutter.
Maintain Proportions: Use the chainlink icon to lock spacing values, ensuring symmetry in your design.
