Updated over a week ago

The Border design options in Divi allow you to add and customize borders around a module. You can apply a border to all sides or individual sides, adjust its width, color, and style, and even round the corners for a polished look.

Where to Find the Border Options

  1. Open the Module Settings: Click the gear icon or the module itself to access the settings.

  2. Navigate to the Design Tab: Locate the Border option group.

Border Customization Settings

  1. Rounded Corners: Adjust the corner radius to create rounded edges.

    • Linked Values: By default, all corners are linked, ensuring the same radius for all.

    • Unlink Values: Click the chainlink icon to apply different radii to each corner.

  2. Border Styles: Choose to apply a border to all sides or specific sides (top, right, bottom, left).

  3. Border Width: Adjust the width of the border using the slider or by entering a value. Borders must be at least 1px wide to appear.

  4. Border Color: Select a color for the border using your site’s palette or the color picker.

  5. Border Style: Choose a style for the border. Options include:

    • Solid

    • Dashed

    • Dotted

    • Double

    • Groove

    • Ridge

    • Inset

    • Outset

    • None (to remove the border)

Tips for Using Border Options

  • Highlight Key Elements: Use borders to draw attention to specific modules or create visual separation.

  • Keep It Subtle: Stick with thinner borders and softer colors for a clean, modern look.

  • Experiment with Styles: Try different border styles (e.g., dashed or dotted) for a creative or decorative touch.

  • Round Corners for Softness: Rounded corners can soften the appearance of your module and match modern design trends.

The Border options in Divi provide an easy way to enhance module aesthetics, adding structure and style to your layout.
